FRIDAY brings the Walcha Cup. A day of glamour, racing and picnicking under the shade of the Elm Trees on the concourse, legacy tree's left by previous committee members, highly appreciated by todays patrons on a hot summers day. Ladies and gentleman's Fashions of the Field will be awarded on Cup Day. Friday, 9th February is a half-day public holiday in Walcha for the Races
SATURDAY, a second day of great racing and a fun day out for the whole family, offering plenty of horse racing, free kids activities and the Kids Fashion of the Fields parades and awards.
TAB, Bookmakers, Bar, BBQ, coffee & ice-creams are available on both days.
Walcha Jockey Club was named NSW Community Race Club of the Year in 2016. The award recognises the work country race clubs do and signifies the great lengths Walcha Jockey Club, in particular, go to in putting on a fabulous race meet.
Walcha's three day tennis tournament for Seniors is one of the favourite tournaments of the regional tennis tournament.
Accommodation is often scarce this weekend due to the many bookings affiliated with this event.

Friday features a large ring programme and show jumping, a wonderful pavilion display with the best wool exhibition around, merino sheep, prime lambs, a heifer show. In the evening there is dog high jumping, bungy pulling and Chris Pearson's fireworks.
Saturdays programme includes the famous peanut drop, Demolition derby, Ag bike competition, pet show, fashion parade, yard dog trials and the stud cattle show. To finish off a great few days of events, there are rodeo type events for all to enjoy that night.
Also there is the Lion’s Club barbecue, Sonia’s lovely lunches, the bar, "Wendy's" ice creams and Potato Max to keep you fed and watered.
