Extra_info : This mosaic was made by the renowned indigenous artist, Gordon Hookey, with the collaboration of the local indigenous people. The commission was funded by an Australia Council for the Arts grant and overlooks the Mill-Hole, home of the legendary Rainbow Serpent.
The artwork plaques for works were made possible by the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR)’s
Strengthening Rural Communities Program, supported by Arts North West.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Walcha region and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community.
