Walcha Royal … Very uniquely decorated, room is very comfy & quiet even though it faced the road. The whole place is spotless and we really enjoyed our night there. Breakfast is very good. Lock up parking for the bikes is a big plus.
Walcha Caravan Park … A small, but very nice little caravan park a short walk to town via the Sculpture walk in the park along the Aspley River. The neatest and cleanest caravan park we have ever stayed in. Good value at $30 per night.
Walcha Motel … Great friendly owners, nice rooms, terrific showers after a long day on the bike, slept like a log. Breakfast was very good. Owner is also a bike nut, what a place to live and have a chance to ride those roads on a regular basis. Thanks Again Andy.
Walcha Road Hotel … High quality restaurant food served in a beautiful old country pub. Cosy atmosphere was a bit of a surprise, a cut above the rest. Walcha Road seems to be isolated but it has a lovely community around who patronise it and is well worth the short drive from Walcha for some quality food in a relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. Charming surrounds, delicious food – highly recommended. (You can even stay at the adjoining accommodation if you want to make a night of it.)
