Long Vehicle Parking

Parking in the CBD is predominantly 45 degree, rear-to-kerb parking, so unfortunately unsuitable for trailers.
Where oh where to park your ‘Rig’ then, you ask?

Long Vehicle Parking is available conveniently close to the town centre

Just west of the CBD on Fitzroy St (Oxley Highway).
RV Parking is best on SOUTH & WALSH Streets, bordering McHattan Park
RV Parking is also available on SOUTH ST, to the north of the round-about, alongside the craftshop

McHattan Park has a fabulous amenities block and is close to the Visitor Information Centre.

Turn west off Derby St (Thunderbolts Way) north of the round-about,
between the Council Chambers and Apsley Arms Hotel
SOUTH ST can also be accessed via Hamilton Street

DERBY ST (Thunderbolts Way)
At the old Rural-Supplies shed, just south of the round-about

These long vehicle parking areas are an easy walk to café’s, shops and amenities.

Caravan Park & Laundromat

Is second to none according to many admiring travellers. Many, who have circumnavigated Australia, comment that it is the best they have ever stayed in.

It has been meticulously upgraded to one of the only AAA four star parks in NSW (and get 5 stars on average from Trip Advisor).

The Walcha Caravan Park is set in park like grounds and is suitable to accommodate Big-Rig’s. It boasts eight grassy powered drive through sites, powered slab sites, and shady camp sites. Many of the powered sites have privacy hedges between them.

The amenities block is immaculately clean and features piped music.

The camp kitchen is equipped beautifully to meet your every need and comfort requirement, facilities include a microwave oven, wood heater, fridge, stove and hot water.

Walcha Caravan Park is pet friendly.

Walcha Caravan Park also operates an excellent coin operated Laundromat, installed in 2014 with new machines and dryers. The Laundromat is available to the general public.
