In 1950, Mr A.S. “Poss” Nivison made history on Mirani by pioneering this groundbreaking farming practice, earning the region its nickname: Pasture Wonderland.
Visit the original Mirani airstrip for a static display showcasing aerial agriculture through the years. A sausage sizzle will be available, hosted by the Walcha Lions Club.
Afterwards, don’t miss the chance to see the original Tiger Moth aeroplane at the Walcha & District Historical Society Museum (open 9am–4pm).
