The Walcha region is renowned for its distinct and beautiful seasons. As the landscapes of our region become awash with sensational Autumn colours we want to celebrate and showcase this. We are excited to announce the launch of a new photographic competition Autumn Colours of Walcha.
Autumn Colours of Walcha photo competition will offer two categories.
Category 1 will focus on a traditional approach and could include (but is not limited to) landscapes, streetscapes, garden images or Autumn flora.
Category 2 is all about creativity and colour and could include (but is not limited to) digital manipulation, multiple exposures, abstract images or humorous photos.
With $500 worth of prizes up for grabs we hope this encourages all those serious and budding photographers to get out and about.
First place in each category with receive a $200 Gift Card and a local hamper. Highly commended will also be acknowledged with the best of the entries being shared on the Walcha Tourism social media pages with credit.
To enter simply upload your images to Walcha Region Autumn Photo Competition - Submit Entries or email your images to tourism@walcha.nsw.gov.au by 24 May 2024.
Include your full name and contact information, optional brief description of the photo, optional social media tags.
As this is the first Autumn photo competition held by Walcha Tourism, photos taken prior to 2024 will be allowed. However, if the competition is run again in future years any image submitted in 2024 will be ineligible for future consideration.
Judging will be undertaken by Walcha Tourism and the winner from each category will be announced on 5 June 2024.
Photographs must be taken in the Walcha region and should prominently show the colours and beauty of Autumn in Walcha.

Walcha parkrun takes place every Saturday at 8:00am.
