Project Description
“All roads lead to Walcha” – well maybe not but the two renowned touring roads converge at Walcha.
The Oxley Highway and Thunderbolts Way intersect at Walcha. Thunderbolts Way leads to Gloucester and Newcastle in the south and Uralla and Goondiwindi in the South while the Oxley Highway leads to Wauchope and Port Macquarie in the East and Bendemeer and Tamworth in the west.
Both roads are popular routes for motorcycle riders with the Bike groups a common sight in Walcha and the local hotels, motels and restaurants are experienced in catering for the needs of the modern day road warriors.
